Warwick District Council

Warwick District comprises the towns of Warwick itself, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Whitnash and also includes the surrounding rural areas. With a population of over 140,000 in 2018 the District’s desire for housing grows exponentially.

The Tach brook and its eponymous village of Bishops Tachbrook once miles from the towns of Warwick and Leamington is soon to disappear under the weight of concrete. Whilst at the north of the district the coalescence of Kenilworth and Warwick seems on the cards. The idea that the two great neighbouring castles should become almost as one is incomprehensible. With more and more of the Districts farmland, of the highest quality, disappearing under various constructions, the inhabitants are left wondering what next – fewer hedgerows, trees: all for the sake of the Councils absurd need for growth.
